At Jayme Makes, I am passionate about merging creativity with functionality.
I’m a Denver based maker who specializes in custom wood furniture for homes, offices, and more.
My name is Jayme Schlimper, and I started Jayme Makes in 2025. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I spent five years working in the education department at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, where I spent my days delighting young learners in different scientific and artistic disciplines.
I took on an apprenticeship with Clark Kellogg and Kellogg Furniture in 2023 where I unlocked my love of woodworking. On Clark’s recommendation, I joined the Fine Woodworking Program at the Krenov School in Fort Bragg, California, completing my certification in 2025.
My dream is to always find the perfect balance of function and whimsy. Shall we create something delightful?
